The animals who come to us for help have been orphaned, injured, or displaced. The majority are in the spring and summer months which we like to call “baby season,” but we do rescues throughout the year, day and night.

Our staff of Animal Caretakers, Apprentices, and Volunteers care for the animals in our Rehabilitation Center and Nursery. Each animal is evaluated by the director and vet to develop a individualized care plan.

Animals in rehabilitation can spend anywhere from a few days to several months before release. It all depends on the species, age, and type of injury. Releases take place on sites that have been inspected and approved by animal care staff.
